Dark colors, bookshelves, soft lighting. The moment we stepped into the Starnbergsee Hideaway, it was clear that this location tells more than just the story of a beautiful backdrop.

When we met some time ago for a personal portrait shoot with the young author Antonia Neumayer, it was immediately clear that this shoot would be something special. Not only because of the person in front of the camera, but also because of the goal: a portrait for the cover of her new novel.

For the shoot, we met at the Starnbergsee Hideaway, a location whose dark, stylish ambiance feels made for quiet, expressive portraits.

A Location That Carries Stories
